A new home has finally been found by one of the seven ships that abandoned Earth thirty years earlier. Seth is one of the first to set foot on the planet and explore what appears to be a paradise. Things are not all they seem however, and they might not be the first people to arrive on this world.

I was very excited during the first 10-15 pages of this story (and yes, I can't call it a "book", merely a story). At that point I happened to notice how far through the piece my kindle was showing that I was. And then as I read on it appeared that the detail present in the first part began to grow more and more scant. Things began to be taken for granted. Holes began to appear in the plot. Suddenly I found myself at the last few pages and it resolved very uncomfortably with a Deus Ex Machina ending that really didn't make any sense to the title. In reflecting afterwards I felt that perhaps this started as an outline draft that the author then decided to "run up the flagpole" to see who would salute it.
In summary, a strong start that fizzled. They say you get what you pay for, and in this case the book was free.
Disappointing

New Exodus eBook James Bailey Reviews
The story line and plot definitely had great potential for something more than a short novella. The character interaction at times was well written and complex, at others it started to become very simply and flat. Overall it was an enjoyable read. Wish there was more to it. Hope the author expands on this novella or writes something a bit more full length in the future.
