Sandra Arnett just wants some peace and quiet after a heartbreaking tragedy disrupted her once perfect life. She finds it in Honey Creek as the new owner of a bed and breakfast. Life is slowly returning to normal when Lionel Kane, a bitter, angry man arrives at her establishment for the summer. With him is nine-year-old Christian, an orphaned boy he doesn’t want.
All three strangers embark on journeys where personal trials conflict, but eventually lead them to the same divine crossroad. There, they make discoveries that will ultimately change their lives.

Sandra, 36, is bitter and resentful after losing her husband and two young children in a horrible accident. She has turned away from God and is now running a B&B in Honey Creek.Lionel Kane, 52, has also turned his back on God after losing his wife, Ruthie. Much against his will, he is legal guardian to a nine year old boy, Christian. Lionel is in Honey Creek for a 3 month construction job and books two rooms at Sandra's B&B.
At first Sandra wants nothing to do with Christian as he reminds her too much of her son but she is also concerned about how Lionel is treating the boy. Lionel rarely talks to him and when he does it is not in very loving tones.
Throughout this story we see the barriers coming down, bit by bit, in both Lionel and Sandra. A light appears through the grief and both realize it is time to move on. All three main characters have suffered more loss than most people.
What brings them back to the Lord? Who is Adam in the story? What happens when Lionel gets word that there is an adoptive family wanting to adopt Christian?
This is a beautiful story of how God, if we let Him, can bring beauty out of ashes.
Any cons? Just one! The author consistently uses a capital letter after a question mark in speech marks. For e.g. "Would you like like some cookies?" She asked, refilling his glass. It should be "Would you like some cookies?" she asked, refilling his glass.
Other than this grammatical error, it is a well written book and I do recommend it.

Lionel, Sharon and Christian had so much heartache in their lives, but it took the Lord for them all to see the light( ing). Your understand what I mean ! I enjoyed this book so much oh. The heartache! Read & Enjoy
this book is about what the Lord can accomplish in people's lives.the love of a child is such great thing
It was a good read, just not enough realism in it. It ended happily.I probably would not recommend it to an avid reader, too slow.
A story about two families that have suffer tragedy and through a little boy, they are able to find peace in their hearts and learn how to not be afraid to love again. It was a nice story and you can't help but fall in love,with the little boy who just wants someone to love him,
I really enjoyed this books and also book 1 and 2. The writer encourages you to draw closer to God.
I enjoyed how God love and his care take care of his children. How hurt these three people where and how God bought them out of darkness and into his light again.
